Hello everyone:
My name is Nicole Sitaraman and I will be working with Rhys to revamp CarbonFreeDC's monthly sustainability workshops. As you know, the purpose of these workshops is to provide DC area citizens with day-to-day solutions and tools to reduce our carbon footprint. We are very excited about presenting events that educate, inspire and galvanize us all to take concrete steps towards making our lifestyles and communities more environmentally healthy and sustainable.
I just listed our first event focused on Urban Farming which will be on May 21 at the Shaw Public Library. In June, we will have a workshop on Composting on-site at the Common Good City Farm. More details will follow as the date approaches and there will be many more fun, informative workshops to follow over the course of this year.
If you have any ideas for topics that you would like to see covered, just let us know! Also, we will need a small team of volunteers to help with planning the workshops. So if you are interested in helping out, don't be shy!
